1.
Onward, gallant riders stride Sure hands, bearing flags of white But their mouths hold savage tongues with a taste for blood Drives them on toward the kill Resistance from within the walls Sure fists wait for mutiny’s call But their hearts deceive their minds that they’ve been victimized Wronged, wounded Isolate, dishearten, and kill Ignoble fools trust in equity Vainglorious victims who cry “liberty” Throwing a tantrum they call anarchy Exhort malignant creeds with supremacy Blinded and possessed by ideology Strange and terrible times now that lambs think they’re lions No more shall we suffer the words of fanatics Tonight they’ve gathered to take up the cross Now make them bleed for the cause The mob is enthralled Torches burn bright Gestures of war, but no will to fight Time to silence children tonight
2.
Deep in our blood lay dormant a wisdom To unlock the secrets of earth and make known the cosmos Such primitive magic shall bring us glory Unlike the world has known The destiny of man Sacred place of power where we honor the rune and cross Forest is protector of an enclave made of stone Fire lights the path where the righteous only tread Men pure of heart, pure of mind, true to one With the rune priest gather the highborn Invoking ancient rites of eternal legacy In language of mystics the assembled consecrate Rebirth of the old gods in the name of a newborn Hail! Rune and Cross Heaven and Earth Spirit and Matter Fire’s light to the shadow is our flesh to ancestry Virtue and Glory Lightning and the Sun Tides of fortune on our side as we ascend to victory Primordial god, bless us all Imbue us with strength, lest we fall Bearer of knowledge and the spear Descendants of Wotan, call you near
3.
Chieftains muster your armies and sharpen your spears Set fire to all that we value and spoil the grain Forestall the legions of Caesar as winter draws near Endless tides of war Losses and gains Banners of Rome must fall lest we be slaves Our loss at Avaricum won’t break our resolve Recall the cries of the vanquished as you thrust your swords Pierce through the heart of the eagle with cavalry charge Endless tides of war Losses and gains Banners of Rome must fall Must fall Siege works have crippled our forces made desperate the time No choice save tend to our wounds and press the assault End run with fury unleashed last act of defiance Endless tides of war Losses and gains Banners of Rome must fall For Gaul Thundering cries Artillery fire Endless tides of war Rendered us lame Celtic Holocaust...Alesia falls The fault is mine I’ve delivered this fate Now the victor sits proud In front of our gate I forfeit my life to the edge of your swords A trial by honor brave chieftains of Gaul Or do I surrender then be paraded through Rome? Thundering cries for Caesar’s triumph Woe to the man who dies twice in one life

about

Isolate, Dishearten, and Kill (EP) is the fifth release from Providence black-doom trio Eternal Khan. IDK continues to deliver Eternal Khan’s dark and pugnacious message, picking up where their earlier work left off, although leaner and pithier. IDK displays the maturity characteristic of a band continuously refining their sound, structure, and riffage. Eternal Khan have once again referenced both the annals of a war-weary past and the tumult of the present to deliver tales of war, brutality, occult power, and human tragedy.
